Not just turning off lights and electronic equipment, Hotel Morazen Surabaya also invites hotel guests to play various traditional games as a step to preserve local wisdom.


Litania Utami as Marketing Communications and Public Relations of Morazen Surabaya explained that with the theme “Disconnect to Reconnect”, this hotel which is located on Jalan Kayoon collaborates with Kampoeng Dolanan which is a traditional culture preservation community and changed the atmosphere of the lobby which was originally luxurious with the dominance of modern interiors into a play area. children.


“Here we hold various types of traditional games such as engklek, marbles, bekel balls, congklak, jump rope, stilts, hula hoops, bamboo spinning tops, and wayang tents,” he explained Saturday (23/3/2024).





Furthermore, the activity was not only attended by hotel guests, but also the general public outside the hotel also enlivened this activity as a form of commitment to preserving the environment and bringing back local wisdom values ​​in traditional games.


“We invited at least 25 children aged 3 – 11 years to participate tonight in the “Disconnect to Reconnect” event to get to know the atmosphere in ancient times and the activities carried out when there was a power outage.” he added.
