BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID, BANJARMASIN – The Central Banjarmasin Sector Police succeeded in arresting 13 non-Muslim couples and dozens of bottles of liquor or alcohol from various places in their jurisdiction in a raid to create conditions for Ramadan 1445 H, Sunday (24/3/2024) early morning.

Central Banjarmasin Police Chief Commissioner Eka Saprianto explained that the 13 couples caught were aged from the youngest, namely 15 years, to the oldest, 61 years.

“We arrested them because it was suspected they were not husband and wife, or were not married,” said Eka after carrying out the raid.

The 13 non-muhrim couples were arrested from three jasmine class hotels in the jurisdiction of the Central Banjarmasin Sector Police, namely Hotel Pelangi, Hotel Mirainn and Hotel Mira Samudera.

Apart from that, the police also found that Depot 88 was still violating the Banjarmasin Mayor’s circular regarding the sale of alcoholic drinks. The police then confiscated the alcoholic drinks.

“In total there are 63 drinks of various brands, consisting of bottles and cans. “We confiscated everything,” said the police officer with the rank of jasmine one.
